The Future Of The Lab – Share Alike

Future of the Lab is an experiment in collaborative improv album making. A number of musicians from different cultural backgrounds: Turkey, Holland, America, Greece, Germany, Japan and different styles: rock, pop, Americana, experimental electro, art-punk, big-band, classical, free jazz spent two days locked up at the Studio for Electro-Instrumental Music (www.steim.org), Amsterdam’s crown jewel of experimental music and sound art, to create a concept album based upon writings predicting the future roles of media labs in a world of increasingly affordable technology and abundant online knowledge sharing.
